Toads are wonderful amphibians that are very similar to frogs, but with some cool differences! Toads usually have bumpy, dry skin and prefer to spend more time on land than in water. They have short legs for walking and hopping (but they can't jump as far as frogs), and they come out mostly at night to hunt for insects.

Even though toads might look bumpy and warty, they're actually very helpful animals! Toads eat tons of bugs like mosquitoes, beetles, and slugs, which makes them great friends to have in your garden. Many toads can live for a very long time - some can even live for 30 to 40 years!
