There are about 100 species of swifts and they eat flying insects they catch with their wide mouths. These incredible birds can fly for months without landing, eating, drinking, and even bathing while in flight. Swifts only land to nest and raise their young in cliff crevices, caves, or buildings where they stick their nests to vertical surfaces with sticky saliva.
